This touch-up kit fixes minor damage, such as scratches through the clear coat and color layers and small surface damage no larger than 3/8" x 3/8". For more significant damage, contact CASTICO Customer Care at (844) 364-2502 or contact@castico-tx.com.
Important: Read the instructions carefully before applying.
Caution: Wear gloves when handling the kit contents, especially the catalyst, to prevent skin contact.
Inside the kit
- A: 4 g paint
- B: 0.2 g aggregate (texture)
- C: 0.8 g catalyst
- Brush
Required (not included)
Filler (Bondo), rotary tool (Dremel), sandpaper, masking or painter's tape, and alcohol.
Instructions
- Remove broken or loose pieces from the damaged area.
- Use the rotary tool to carve a uniform indentation. Clean the area with alcohol.
- Apply tape with a 1/16" clearance around the repair area.
- Apply filler to the damaged area, leaving enough material to shape it. Remove the tape before the filler cures.
- Sand off excess filler, following the shape of the area. Clean with alcohol before painting.
- Pour the paint (A) and texture (B) into the catalyst (C). Close the catalyst bottle and shake for one minute. All three must be mixed or the paint will not dry.
- Apply the paint within 10 minutes of mixing. Let it dry at least 6 hours before use.
Note: Because filler materials and application methods vary, the color of the repaired area may differ slightly.
