Shower Wall Touch-Up Kit Instructions

The Shower Wall Touch-Up Kit is for small cosmetic repairs. Larger damage may remain visible, and slight differences in color, texture, or sheen may remain after repair. For larger damage, contact Customer Care at (844) 364-2502 or contact@castico-tx.com.

Before you begin

  • Read all instructions first.
  • Make sure the damaged area is clean, dry, and free of loose material.
  • Work in a well-ventilated area. Protective gloves and safety glasses are recommended.
  • Do not look directly into the blue LED curing light or point it at anyone's eyes.
  • Shelf life: 18 months.

Inside the kit

  • 3 x 1 g LCA repair syringes in standard colors, plus additional colors that vary by finish (may include gray, brown, beige, green, or blue)
  • Microtip
  • LED light (requires 1 AAA battery, not included)
  • Curing square
  • Sanding pads
  • Wooden stick
  • Alcohol prep pad
  • Polishing paste
  • Polishing cloth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the damaged area. Remove any broken, loose, or raised material so the repair bonds to a clean, stable surface.
  2. Protect the surrounding surface. Apply painter's tape around the damage, leaving only the repair area exposed.
  3. Clean the area. Wipe with the alcohol prep pad to remove dust, oils, and residue. Let it dry completely.
  4. Select or mix the resin color. Attach the microtip to the syringe. If one color matches, apply it directly. If not, mix colors on the curing square until they closely match.
  5. Apply the resin. Fill the damaged area using the microtip. Avoid overfilling. Repairs within 3/8" blend well. Larger repairs may remain visible. Wipe excess resin off the tape before curing.
  6. Shape the repair. Place the curing square over the uncured resin and press gently to level it and spread it evenly in the damaged area.
  7. Cure the resin. Hold the curing square firmly in place and position the LED light above it. Cure for 2–4 minutes. Test with the wooden stick, and keep curing until the resin is firm.
  8. Sand the repair. Remove the tape. If the repair feels tacky, wipe it with rubbing alcohol. Keep the area wet and sand with 1200 grit, then 2000 grit. Avoid sanding the surrounding surface.
  9. Clean and polish. Wipe the area with a cotton cloth. Gloss finishes: apply polishing paste and buff gently. Satin finishes: no polishing paste needed.
  10. Done. The repair is ready for use. Slight color variation may occur due to differences in application and color blending.
