Bowing - Walls (i)

What is a bow?

Also referred to as bowing or warpage, a bow is when a product has an unintended bend or curve.

How do bows occur?

Our products are engineered to have a minimal flex to avoid damage or cracking during shipping. A bow or bend of 1/8" or less is normal and will not impact the installation or function.

Outside of manufacturing, in appropriate shipping, storing products in extreme temperatures or in a leaning position on an edge for a long period of time can create unwanted bends or bows.

What to do if a bow is 1/8" or less?

Walls: Use thin-set instead of adhesive to help fill in any gaps and create a solid underlayment.

Use bracing system curing time (included in installation instructions).

Base: Use thin-set instead of adhesive to help fill in any gaps and create a solid foundation.
